Digital Empathy today introduced a new logo, brand identity and redesigned website as it evolves into a technology company serving independent veterinary practices. Building on 11 years in veterinary marketing, the team has become a leader in leveraging Artificial Intelligence to understand more of what happens between veterinary teams and pet owners and build tools that help practices act on what they learn.
Long known for its custom websites, Digital Empathy continues to support practices through strategic differentiation, search engine optimization, content, Google Ads and digital intake. Its team is building on that work with new products such as Vet Call Insights, helping practice staff recognize opportunities to reconnect with pet owners whose calls did not end in an appointment.
“Veterinary practices should expect their marketing partner to be looking ahead,” said Robert Sanchez, founder and CEO of Digital Empathy. “We’re entering a period when small teams can accomplish things that would have been out of reach just a few years ago. At Digital Empathy, we’re operating at that frontier, learning from what happens between veterinary teams and pet owners and moving quickly to build around what we find. Our goal is to create better tools that help veterinary teams and pet owners work and feel like a team. We have a roadmap that we believe will dramatically expand what independent practices can do, and this is just the start.”
Digital Empathy’s engineers work alongside its in-house veterinary team, including Dr. Jess Trimble, and client hospitals to develop software around the needs of practice staff.
Vet Call Insights is the first product developed through Digital Empathy’s new in-house engineering approach. The team built the software around information practices already had but could not easily review at scale: conversations with pet owners whose calls did not end in an appointment. Hospital staff helped refine the software through beta testing and continue to guide improvements through feedback.
Front-desk staff receive an AI-generated callback list in their inbox each morning, with context from tracked calls about whom to contact, what each pet owner needed and why they did not book. Staff can pick up the conversation with that understanding and record their follow-up directly from the email, with no separate login or dashboard required.
“We’ve worked with Digital Empathy on our website and marketing, and we’ve found a lot of value in Vet Call Insights,” said Dr. Jacquie Cobb, owner of Cobb & Co. Veterinary Clinic. “When I bought another practice, I wanted to bring that same partnership there. I trust the team, and I’ve recommended them to other practice owners.”
During the first five months of use, staff at 14 practices received more than 1,250 flags for missed booking opportunities. Using records from six participating practices, Digital Empathy verified more than $23,000 in spending by flagged callers who later returned.
Digital Empathy’s team is already developing additional technology for independent practices, with plans to introduce more of that work in the months ahead.
