Caribbean Night Long Island 2026 brought together people from across the diaspora – different islands, accents, and generations – united as one community.
EAST MEADOW, NY – Caribbean Night Long Island returned after a 10-year hiatus on July 17, 2026, drawing more than 26,000 attendees to Eisenhower Park in East Meadow. The event’s true success was not measured by attendance numbers alone, but by what those 26,000 people represented: individuals from Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad, Haiti, Barbados, Grenada, St. Lucia, Dominica, St. Vincent, Antigua, the Bahamas, and across the Caribbean diaspora – different flags, different accents, different islands, different generations – united for one night as one community.
The Caribbean diaspora possesses extraordinary cultural, social, and economic power. Yet this power is often fragmented, with communities remaining divided by the very islands that define the diaspora’s strength. Caribbean Night Long Island 2026 demonstrated another possibility: a diaspora that celebrates its diversity without sacrificing its unity.
The 2026 event brought together reggae, dancehall, chutney, and international Caribbean artists, creating a unified platform where individual island cultures were celebrated. Grammy Award-winning reggae artist Keznamdi, dancehall artist Charly Black, and chutney icon Terry Gajraj performed alongside emerging local talent. Food vendors from across the diaspora created lines of 400 people at peak times, demonstrating significant economic strength within the Caribbean community.
“Different flags. Different accents. Different islands. Different generations. Yet for one night, we were one community,” said Jennifer Rampersaud, Executive Producer and Host. “The Caribbean diaspora is powerful culturally, socially, and economically, yet we often remain divided by the islands that make us unique. Caribbean Night Long Island showed another possibility.”

Executive Producer Jennifer Rampersaud and core team orchestrated Caribbean Night Long Island 2026 in six weeks, overcoming obstacles through faith and commitment to the vision.
The path to Caribbean Night Long Island 2026 was marked by significant obstacles. Industry professionals warned that a six-week production timeline was impossible, and expected corporate partnerships did not materialize. Yet the production team persisted with unwavering conviction, driven by a shared faith.
The core team – Jennifer Rampersaud as Executive Producer, Host, and Creative Lead; Hanif Russell as Executive Producer and Sponsorship Lead; Chelsea Grant as Stage Director and A&R; and Tracey Kahn as Publicist and Media Relations – worked tirelessly to bring the event to life. Community support and partnerships ultimately provided crucial assistance in making Caribbean Night Long Island 2026 a reality.
“Six weeks before Caribbean Night Long Island, we barely had a flyer. Six weeks later, tens of thousands of people came together as One Caribbean,” said Jennifer Rampersaud. “I give God all the glory, because what looked impossible became history.”
