MICHAEL BRUNSON INCLUDED ON BEST YOUNG TEACHERS LIST FOR 2027

Michael Brunson, lead coach at John Hughes Golf, has been named to the prestigious Golf Digest Best Young Teachers list for 2027-2028.

CHAMPIONSGATE, FL, UNITED STATES, October 23, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — John Hughes Golf is proud to announce that Michael Brunson, the organization’s lead coach, has been included on the Best Young Teachers list for 2027-2028. The list, published by Golf Digest magazine, includes 197 teachers across the United States who exemplify innovative, effective approaches to teaching the game of golf.

Michael Brunson joined John Hughes Golf with more than thirty years of experience playing golf at the professional level and teaching students of all abilities. In 2026, he became a Class A PGA member, with John Hughes as his supervising professional. Today, Michael coaches all year at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, the primary location for coaching and multi-day golf schools with John Hughes Golf.

Golf Digest uses the Best Young Teachers list to promote the golf instructors that the editors believe are doing the most to bring the game of golf into the digital age. As swing analysis tools, granular metrics, and online communication platforms become more important in golf coaching, publications like the Best Young Teachers list help aspiring golf students find instructors in their region known for using these tools to their advantage.

Along with the rest of the instructors at John Hughes Golf, Michael Brunson is part of a deliberate campaign to promote virtual golf coaching opportunities. Many golfers appreciate being able to submit swing videos for expert assessment, then have a live virtual session with an experienced coach to learn what changes they can make right away to improve their game.

Michael Brunson is certified on several advanced golf technologies, including FlightScope and Sportsbox 3D. He uses these tools, along with his real-world knowledge and experience with the pressures of competitive play, to help students build their skills as quickly and practically as possible. He shares the teaching philosophy of John Hughes, President of John Hughes Golf, which prioritizes a tailored approach to each student based on their current abilities. Each golf school and virtual coaching session is designed to provide immediately actionable improvements to help the student move forward quickly.

John Hughes is delighted to see Michael Brunson identified as an innovative, forward-thinking instructor by Golf Digest, and he hopes that the well-deserved recognition will help golfers throughout central Florida and beyond as they look for a golf coach to help them make significant improvements, not only in their ability to play, but also in their enjoyment of the game.
